Have you ever wanted to become a magician? It's really not that hard. I started practicing magic in high school and at a point in my high school years I had most of my class gathered around me at least once a week to see the new mind blowing tricks I had to show them.
Magic can be very rewarding and it truly is a fun hobby for any age of person. I am writing this article for those of you that have an interest in magic as a hobby but don't know where to start. There are lots of tricks out there for sale but most are fun for only a short while and require some sort of gimmick.
If you are interested in magic, start with coin magic. You will be able to grasp the concepts of gimmicks, sleights, and patter very easily with doing coin tricks. Best of all, you've likely got all you need in your pocket already! Coin tricks are also a great starting point for beginners because once you do decide to invest in some shop tricks, the coin related ones are pretty da ng cheap! That's not to say that there is no advanced coin magic, their certainly is, but take my advice and learn the basics, you won't regret it!
If you are considering studying magic tricks or thinking of becoming a magician, give coin magic a look before you delve into the deeper, more advanced routines. Coin magic requires dexterity, but generally less than card magic for example.
That means that there is no excuse! Get out there and start learning some coin magic!
