1. Disabling Hibernation:
In Windows XP, navigate to the control panel; go to Power Options' and click the Hibernate' tab. Here simply uncheck the Enable Hibernate' option.
2. Using NTFS on USB disk drive:
Go to the DOS command prompt and in the command line, enter the command h: /fs: ntfs'. Here "h" stands for the drive letter assigned to the USB disk.
3. Switch the Page View:
You can use [Ctrl] + [F2] key combination to switch between the layout and the print preview of the pages in Word documents.
4. Insert a new sheet:
You can use [Ctrl] + [F11] key combination in the Excel table calculation to insert a new table sheet before the one that is currently selected.
5. Open Bookmarks in a new tab:
You can click a bookmark in Firefox and keep the [Ctrl] key pressed at the same time in order to open the relevant website in a new tab while keeping the current tab active.
6. Upper or Lower Case:
In PowerPoint, use [Ctrl] + [F3] key combination to switch between upper and lower cases in case of the layout of a presentation.
7. Highlighting everything:
In Windows, with the help of [Ctrl] + [A], you can highlight all contents of a window in Windows or Internet Explorer just as in Word.
8. Opening Address Bar:
You can open the address bar in a window of windows explorer or in my computer' folder by simply pressing [F4]. You can similarly close the address bar as well.
9. Leafing through a workbook:
With [Ctrl] + [Page Up] and [Ctrl] + [Page Down], you can comfortably go to the next or previous table sheet in an excel workbook.
10. Not converting Text into links:
Open Format | Auto format | Options and remove the checkmark in front of internet and network paths with hyperlinks'. Now, word will not show web addresses in blue.
