Adsense Alternatives - What is Right For YOU?

Their reasons for seeking other ways, aside from Adsense, vary. Some are dissapointed by the amount of money they are making. Others have had their Adsense account suspended because Google believes that they have violated the very stringent terms of service. Still others simply want to supplement the income that they derive from Google's advertising network. Looking at some of those alternatives to Adsense is the purpose of this article.

Some Adsense Alternatives

Other search engine companies provide the same sort of contextual advertising that Google does with its Adsense program. The largest of those are Yahoo and Bing (now in the process of merging their programs), but there are also multiple other smaller search engine companies that you can try. Chitika, Kontera and Clicksor are three of the many examples, but you can also search for other.

There are other companies that are not affiliated with a search engine that will match publishers (you) with those who want to reach an audience with their ads. Adbrite and BuySellAds are two examples. Unlike the search engines, though, these agencies will only work with websites that meet their traffic threshold (say, for example, 20,000 monthly page views). If you meet their traffic requirements, these can be used as a supplement to any contextual advertising, because these ads are not based upon the context of the page's copy. In other words, these advertisements do not violate the terms of service of Adsense, Yahoo's publisher network or any of the other search engine based systems.

Finally there are new alternatives to Adsense developed by the creative people at ZibZoom, which began as a unique search engine but which is evolving into other areas of revenue generation€all more or less passive.

I'll briefly provide just one example of what ZibZoom offers and send you off for more detailed information.

The ZibZoom Search Engine allows you to actually own keywords and key phrases from which you can receive revenue anytime a searcher clicks on an ad after entering that search term, whether that visitor came from your own site or not. If you own the term, "blue widget," you will earn money anytime someone searches for that on the search engine and clicks an ad. If you have a web page about blue widgets, you could direct your visitors to go to ZibZoom to search for "blue widget" after they have read your article.

The are just some of the many Adsense alternatives that are available. If you truly want to maximize your income, you should definitely consider a combination of these€one search engine network, one ad agency (assuming that you have sufficient traffic) and a partnership with the ZibZoom search engine.
